Costs:

Because a 'donor' Study Bible's cover is used to create the designs on the covers of the Franknbibles, the cost is generally double what a quality Study Bible costs (don't worry, it is re-fitted with a hard cover and donated to a brother/sister in prison).

What is a "FranknBible?

What is a "FranknBible?" The artist describes them this way:
-a work of art; hand stitched by a Christian brother in prison.
-is different, ugly (not always!), and feels really weird!
-a twin with a donor bible (refitted with a functional hard-cover) given to a Christian in prison.
-a ministry with all proceeds being used to purchase evangelical study materials for Christians in prison.
-an eye-catching promotion for prison ministry, providing an opening to discuss the work of our Lord in prisons and the need for prayer, donations, and volunteers.
-a top-notch study bible ready to be read and shared.
-made of: 1 study bible, 1 cover from a donor bible, 2 original designs, 1 & 1/2 shoe laces (thread), hours & hours of drawing, cutting, and sewing, sewing, sewing!!!

Franknbible 'Tail'

Franknbible 'Tail'
Each Franknbible has a 'tail' at the bottom of the spine that can be pulled out with a pen or finger. The tail has a number that designates the year made (2013 in the photo) and the number of Franknbible it is (11 in this example).

*Never put your Franknbible in a bible cover!!!

Franknbible is a ministry, a call for help, an advertisement for the needs of Christians in prison. When you are at church, bible study, even at home and someone sees your Franknbible, they will be curious. That is when you can use Franknbible to tell them about people being saved in prison, and their need for assistance from the body of Christ. Afterward, please pray with them and encourage them to find a prison ministry and get involved!
